? SHARK attack victim Ben Morcom may be allowed out of hospital today, allowing him to perform best man duties at his cousin's wedding.

Mr Morcom, 31, was bitten on the buttocks by a shark as he surfed with the groom-to-be and another mate at The Boulders, near Hawks Nest, on Tuesday.

The South Australian man was listed as being in a stable condition yesterday after surgery to mend the wounds.

A John Hunter Hospital spokeswoman said medical staff would make a decision today whether to allow Mr Morcom to be released from hospital for his cousin's wedding tomorrow.
